A bit of this and a bite of Tart....

If you go to KLCC, drop by the Cold Storage supermarket.  Make your way to the bakery section and Try the bakery's Portuguese Egg Tart, referred to as P.E.T. henceforth.  It is one of many bakeries that makes good P.E.T.  The base pastry is not simply a crumbly tray that holds a sweet egg tart mixture.  The  Base is a layered pastry, sort of a compact croissant texture.  It stays firm as you bite in and this holds the filling in place.  And the filling...Hmmm... Pleasantly sweet, with buttery smell and a Melt in your mouth texture.  It really is good.  Now i'm starting to wonder if all tarts are nice.

I remember the tart i had from King's Confectionaries.  I guess it was good.  The tart in Jusco was ok too.  Hmm...Now I'm not sure which one is the best P.E.T. maker.  This can only mean one thing.  Start my research on the best P.E.T. maker.  I can tell you one thing though, not all bakeries sell them.  Bread Story in avenue K, Chilios Bakery Kiosk in KLCC LRT station and Rotiboy in KLCC don't sell P.E.T.  How do I know?  Coz I tried to find them there but couldn't.  So, grumpily, I walked all the way to Cold Storage bakery and bought five.  One for the master, one for the dame, one for the little boy who cried down the laNE.

Actually they were for my colleagues. And they loved it.  So, now I have a new mission.  Find out which outlet makes the best PET.  Talk about outlet, there is one F&B outlet called bagel station.  It serves bagels, something like doughnuts.  No Tart But it serves good espresso.  And they serve it in a classy espresso glass.

Anyway, back to our issue, P.E.T.  Are all Portuguese Egg Tarts nice?  We'll finD out soon...

And....

I Did...
