Down with Dengue

Ahoy mates!  How's stuff doing in your life?  All I can do is hope they are fine and dandy.  Mine was kinda painful, interesting, scary and sad all these 3 weeks.  First I got high fever on Thursday night, 17 March 2005.  Then I went to F1 with the fever and some fever medicine and antibiotics.  F1 wasn't as interesting and exciting with fever you should know. And then on Tuesday I learn I had dengue.  It's the high fever I've been experiencing during the F1 week. Going to the F1 almost killed me.  With all the heat and walking and dehydration and all.   Of all the weeks to get dengue.  My platelet level dropped to 16 thousand and the nurses immediately stuck a needle in my arm for the intravenous fluid drip.

Here's what I managed to get from the trip.  Didn't feel like taking many pics as  I was dying.

The free seating of the covered hillstand...

One of the views from the stand...

Another view...  race day saw most number of viewers...would have been exciting if not for my damned denggi.

Now I have fully recovered.  After spending 3 days and 2 nights in UM hospital ward. Not to mention the RM310 ward charges.  That one claim lah...But I really was on the verge knocking on heaven's door, or hell's ... eesh...

Then there's the aftershock on Sunday night.  Felt like being on jello.  You must have felt it too, or read about it in the papers. It was just as they described it.  Got quite scared then.  I was among those who went down from our 10th level home.  And the victims in Nias....We feel for the victims and their families...

Then after April fool's day was my birthday, 2nd April.  The same day Pope John Paul II passed on.  Very sad... not because I didn't celebrate my birthday...never did anyway.
